What I do

Healthcare
Illness can be debilitating. I believe effective healthcare restores human potential. Drugs and surgery have dominated the treatment of diseases in the last century, proving effective for many conditions. At the same time, drugs and surgery have been insufficient for many diseases, such as immune and neurodegenerative related conditions. We are beginning to understand the interconnected nature of electrical and chemical signals in the body. This has given birth to the growing field of neuromodulation. Devices are used to edit the signals traveling on nerves, restoring lost function. Neuromodulation has the potential to provide cure to many currently unaddressed conditions.

Teaching
Education is empowering. It is in essence a programming of the mind to become better at looking at itself, identifying its shortages, and improving upon them. A high quality education, delivered by caring and effective teachers, changes lives. Learning and teaching will always be a part of my life.
